THE PROPOSAL

I planned an evening with friends to grab some drinks at the Montage in Laguna Beach. What I didn’t tell Heather was that I was going to ask her to be my bride. The Montage held a special place in Heather’s heart well before that night as it was/is one of her favorite places to go. That night Heather looked beautiful (as she always does) and I was thankful she got her nails done (Thanks Lisa!). On the way over Heather was having a discussion with me about our plans for the future and things to do when we get married. She had no idea about the night ahead of her. With the help of some amazing friends I was able to pop the question on the balcony overlooking the ocean. I caught her by complete surprise and she instantly started crying. After she said yes there was a loud applause and I was quickly reminded I proposed in front of 30 people I didn’t know. The surprises didn’t stop there… I informed her that I had arranged to have a bottle of Champagne at the restaurant below and led her down the stairs. She was surprised yet again when we were  greeted by our family and close friends. Many pictures, cheers to the future, and hugs made the perfect night complete. It could not have turned out any better than I had planned it. A memory Heather and I will always cherish.
